HAIR CARE: FINAL HAIR RINSE

Keep your hair in top condition by rinsing hair with a herbal vinegar or kombucha. When using vinegar rinses these must be diluted in water. The final rinse is beneficial as it helps to restore the acid covering which may have been disturbed by shampoos.

Herbs: make up a herbal infusion using a combination of herbs suitable for your hair type. Herbal infusion 150 ml (lcup), then add the juice of a lemon and 20 ml (ltbsp) cider vinegar or kombucha. Apply to hair and massage into the scalp, then rinse off, using a minimal amount of cool water.

Essential oils: blend together 2 drops of essential oils suitable for your hair type to ltbsp. vinegar to be added to the final rinse water. Kombucha: use as a final rinse. Pour kombucha tea over the hair . It can be left on for 1-3 hours, covered with a plastic shower cap. This is used for more serious hair complaints.

Scalp stimulator

Mix together ltsp. of vodka, vinegar or kombucha with 8 drops of essential oils suitable for your hair condition, and then add to 1 tbsp. of water Dip fingers into the mixture and massage well into the scalp.

Hair spray -

Chop up 1 unpeeled lemon add 2 cups of water, place into a saucepan. Simmer the mixture until the liquid has been reduced by half. Strain and pour the liquid into a spray mist bottle. Add 1/2 cup of water to thin the mixture if necessary. To preserve hair spray add 1 oz of bay rum to 1 cup of hair spray. For extremely dry hair substitute the lemon for an orange. Fruit juice perm

Paul Nienast famous “fruit juice” perm consisting of fresh juice obtained from grapefruit, lemon, lime and orange. Follow exactly the same procedure as a perm however instead of using the chemical use the fruit juices instead. Make up a solution by juicing 6-9 oranges, 11/2 grapefruits, 1/2 each of a lemon and lime.
